Taylor Swift’s Reputation

What’s a concert without giant snakes and light up bracelets? Definitely not a Taylor Swift one! Taylor Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour made its way to Pittsburgh PA August 7th. 
If you were lucky enough to get there early, you felt the magic of what is a Taylor Swift tailgate. Fans dressed in all sorts of puns only Swifties would understand. Food trucks, karaoke and hair glitter filled the parking lot outside of Heinz Field. The energetic atmosphere helped to get everyone ready for seeing the queen herself, Taylor Swift. 
The show started with Charlie XCX and Camilla Cabello. Charlie XCX sang hits such as: “I Love It” and “Boom Clap”. Camilla Cabello came out in her own Steelers jersey. She pumped up the crowd by finishing off her set with her hit “Havana”. Suddenly, the music stopped and the visuals came on. Taylor Swift opened with “....Ready For It” The arena consisted of the main stage, and two smaller B stages that Taylor made her way back to. Taylor put her own touch on her everything including the newspaper confetti. From energetic crowd to acoustic songs on the piano and guitar, Taylor put on an amazing show. 

Personally, I have never been in such a positive atmosphere as a Taylor Swift concert. If you take a second and look around, there’s thousands of people dressed in costumes, covered in glitter, and almost all are dancing amongst the light up bracelets. It’s truly an experience you’ll never forget.

With a name like Set It Off - you have to live up to expectations. If you were lucky enough to be apart of the almost sold out 800 person crowd, you’d know this show was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The show kicked off at 6:30 with L.I.F.T followed by Super Whatevr and With Confidence. After a digital countdown to midnight, Set It Off came out with one of the first singles off the newly released album, “Midnight”. The setlist included a drum solo by drummer, Max Danziger. The boys ended the night with a thank you speech, followed by “Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing”. BONES UK

BONES UK is a powerful girl duo from the UK consisting of Rosie Bones and Carmen Vandenberg. You might have seen them open for Palaye Royale last year, or you might be debating catching them on tour this summer. The band’s first full length album comes out on July 12th. If you have heard any of their other songs such as “Beautiful Is Boring” or “Girls Can’t Play Guitar” you’re as excited as we are to hear the new album. The girls have been keeping us on our toes by releasing two new singles, “Filthy Freaks” and “Choke”. The House On Cliff

This past week I got the opportunity to see the rock band The House On Cliff in Akron, Ohio. If you haven't listened to them already, you're missing out. They recently released a single, "Life Goes On" and they also have two EPs out, "The House On Cliff" and "Skin & Bones". I would highly recommend listening to them if you like rock, or just looking for a high energy band. Going to one of their gigs is definitely worth it. They have such a good vibe while preforming and they really give it their all each night. I also got to sit down with the band and ask them some questions about their music.  You can watch it here.
